Foundation Course on Yoga Therapy

Hatha Yoga is the science of absolute purification, bequeathing the therapeutic effects as its by-product. It is a preparation towards individual realization, and is also, a vital discipline of health. Retrospectively, it has been effective in elimination of many diseases and defects.

Yoga Therapy works in four dimensions:
  • Preventive
  • Curative
  • Adjuvant
  • Palliative
This course is divided into two segments of 8 months each –
  • Foundation Course on Yoga Therapy (500 hours)
  • Advanced Course on Yoga Therapy (500 hours)

Our ‘Yoga Therapy’ curriculum has been meticulously designed, safeguarding the sanctity of traditional approach. This course does not intend to teach how to treat people with illness but is an eye-opening approach to guide Teachers to handle students having different ailments, difficulties and conditions, while performing a posture or doing a practice.

We have three renowned dignitaries from India who will join our teaching faculty as guest lecturers, along with Acharya Bala, who will collectively guide the students from one phase to another, in a progressive manner.

Our Yoga Therapy courses are accredited by Yoga Alliance International which would further add to the credentials of any practicing Yoga Teacher.

Course Duration & Schedule

The foundation course duration is for 8 months (500 hours) which will comprise of 32 weekend sessions. Besides daily practice sessions are available for the students during weekdays.

Suitability and Considerations for this Course

Completion of 300 Hours (Foundation) & 500 Hours (Advanced) Teacher Training with us is a prerequisite for joining the 500 Hours Foundation Level on Yoga Therapy course.

Special criteria are available for Medical Practitioners who have finished their 200 Hour or 300 Hours Yoga Teacher Training.

PAPER 3 – Principles and Fundamentals of Yoga – Part 1

  • Effect of Yogic practices on different systems of the body
  • Yoga and mental health

PAPER 4 – Principles and Fundamentals of Yoga – Part 2

  • Evolution Theory of Yoga
  • Evolution of Sankhya Yoga
  • Elucidation of Bhagavat Gita
  • Theoretical View of Jnana Yoga
  • Dinacharya, Ritucharya and Basic of Health (Ayurveda)

PAPER 5 - Practical – Part 1

  • Shodhana Kriya and Asanas
