Yoga for Seniors

सम्यक् पद्मासनं बद्ध्वा समग्रीवोदरं सुधीः ।

मुखं संयम्य यत्नेन प्राणं घ्राणेन रेचयेत् ।।६०।।

Place properly both the soles of the feet upon the thighs. This auspicious (asana) is known by the name padmāsana which is destroyer of all the evils.

There is no universally accepted classification system that can be applied to yoga. Every person has a different physique, and as a consequence, the way in which they practice differs according to their individual characteristics. Yoga can be practiced in a variety of ways, but it is open to everyone.
